Biographies

Janelle Ogg

Janelle began preparing taxes professionally with the 2002 tax year working for H&R Block. During her employment with H&R Block she took close to 300 hours of tax education classes. (The minimum requirement with H&R Block was 24 hours per year after the initial 60 hours required by CTEC.) Prior to that Janelle worked off and on as a bookkeeper for various employers.

In 2007-2008 Janelle took the IRS Special Enrollment Examination, and became an Enrolled Agent in April of 2008. With this, she can represent any taxpayer before the IRS through Examinations, Appeals, and Collections. Janelle maintains membership in the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Tax Professionals. The North Bay Chapter of CSEA is very active and currently Janelle is serving as a Director and also the Awards Chair for that chapter.

Janelle first moved to Santa Rosa in the early 1970s and attended Rincon Valley Jr. High, later graduating from Montgomery HS and SRJC. Janelle was active in leadership for Bible Study Fellowship for many years and remains active at Santa Rosa Bible Church.

Janelle also enjoys her business of selling Cookie Lee fashion jewelry. (This jewelry is sold through home shows, office shows, fundraisers, etc.) She manages to squeeze in some scrapbooking time on occassion.

Richard Ogg

Richard began preparing taxes professionally with the 2002 tax year working for H&R Block. During his employment with H&R Block he took close to 400 hours of tax education classes. (The minimum requirement with H&R Block was 24 hours per year after the initial 60 hours required by CTEC.) Richard also taught a number of upper-level tax classes for H&R Block, including Employee Compensation and Benefits, Stock Options, Rental Real Estate, and a class on retirement issues.

In 2005 Richard took the IRS Special Enrollment Examination, and became an Enrolled Agent in April of 2006. With this, he can represent any taxpayer before the IRS through Examinations, Appeals, and Collections. Richard maintains membership in the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents. The North Bay Chapter of CSEA is very active and currently Richard is honored to serve as its President.

Richard moved to Santa Rosa in 1976 when hired by Hewlett Packard upon his college graduation, and is still employed full-time as a manager of engineers by Agilent Technologies, Inc. Richard graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering but also supplemented his education with business classes, primarily in economics, accounting, and finance.

Richard is very active at Santa Rosa Bible Church where serves as an Elder and teaches adult classes. (Much of his teaching material and other papers on theology and doctrine can be accessed through his personal web site at www.OggClan.us. To a large extent this is derived from his study of theology as a part-time student for 6 years at Bay Cities Bible College.) Richard also referees high school basketball and helps run the youth basketball league sponsored by Santa Rosa Bible Church.
