Biographies

Janelle Ogg

Janelle began preparing taxes professionally with the 2002 tax year working for H&R Block. During her employment with H&R Block she took close to 300 hours of tax education classes. She and Richard then purchased a tax business in 2005. Prior to that Janelle worked off and on as a bookkeeper for various employers.

In 2007-2008 Janelle took the IRS Special Enrollment Examination, and became an Enrolled Agent in April of 2008. With this, she can represent any taxpayer before the IRS through Examinations, Appeals, and Collections. Janelle maintains membership in the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents. The North Bay Chapter of CSEA is very active and Janelle serves in leadership for the chapter.

In 2012 Janelle completed the three-year National Tax Practice Institute program becomming an NTPI Fellow. This program is focused on developing additional skills for representing clients before the IRS.

Janelle first moved to Santa Rosa in the early 1970s and attended Rincon Valley Jr. High, later graduating from Montgomery HS and SRJC. Janelle was active in leadership for Bible Study Fellowship for many years and remains active at Santa Rosa Bible Church.

Richard Ogg

Richard began preparing taxes professionally with the 2002 tax year working for H&R Block. During his three-year employment he took close to 400 hours of tax education classes and taught a number of upper-level tax classes. Janelle & he then purchased a tax business in 2005.

In 2005 Richard took the IRS Special Enrollment Examination, and became an Enrolled Agent in April of 2006. With this, he can represent any taxpayer before the IRS through Examinations, Appeals, and Collections. Richard maintains membership in the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents. The North Bay Chapter of CSEA is very active and he serves in leadership and has been honored to serve as its President.

In 2008 Richard obtained his first FINRA license and now has the Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 (advisory). He also hold a California life and health insurance license (0G48566) including the special courses to sell long-term-care insurance and annuities. This allowed their firm to add financial services in 2008.

Richard moved to Santa Rosa in 1976 when hired by Hewlett Packard upon his college graduation with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He also supplemented his formal education with business classes, primarily in economics and finance. Richard is a registered California Professional Engineer (PE license E10695) in the discipline of electrical.

Richard is very active at Santa Rosa Bible Church where serves as an Elder and teaches adult classes. (Much of his teaching material and other papers on theology and doctrine can be accessed through his personal web site at www.OggClan.us. To a large extent this is derived from his study of theology as a part-time student for 6 years at Bay Cities Bible College.) Richard also referees high school basketball and helps run the youth basketball league sponsored by Santa Rosa Bible Church.
